WESTERN REGION ACCOUNT MANAGER

SESA is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Regional Account Manager with a proven track record of successfully securing contract work within both the public and private sectors, developing and nurturing relationships with state and municipal transportation officials, and providing support and guidance to consulting agencies on the latest technologies within the industry.

With SESA, you will be working for an established and fast-growing company specialized in Intelligent Transportation Systems and specifically Digital Highway Signs with exceptional industry presenceSESA offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, commission, 401k, health benefits, life insurance, paid vacation and business expense reimbursement with opportunity for growing new business.

This position requires Home office in Western USA and frequent travel and trade show attendance in the territory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Focus

  • Responsible for working with the departments of transportation, municipal public works agencies, civil contractors, electrical contractors, ITS integrators and consulting agencies to develop and grow the sales of the SESA product line within the targeted accounts in the territory;
  • Ability to anticipate and qualify new opportunities within the defined territory
  • Effectively utilize all available resources (project management team, engineering, technical support staff) to aggressively pursue revenue opportunities
  • Provide support presence at trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations
  • Recommends equipment purchases and emerging technologies to targeted accounts
  • Presents information and answers questions regarding existing and new product lines and emerging technologies
  • Analyze, organize, coordinate, and report on all sales activities
  • Through research and customer relationships, gain and maintain understanding of the overall market (e.g. budget cycles, fiscal year initiatives, key contacts, market pricing)
  • As key customer interface, you will be spending 50% – 60% of your time in front of customers
  • Visit key contacts within the defined territory on a semi-annual basis, and as needed
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and quota

  • Excellent understanding of market trends and competitive issues
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

OTHER NEEDS

  • Appropriate amount of travel will be required
  • Western Region territories : California, Arizona, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, British Columbia

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Technical degree holder or commensurate technical experience desired
  • Experience: At least (2) years’ experience selling intelligent transportation systems/telecommunication equipment and/or services into the transportation/telecommunications market
  • Language requirements: English written and verbal
  • Authorization to work in the USA
